Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba Nation activist, has apparently been diagnosed with a renal or lung disease.Yomi Aliyyu, one of his lawyers, revealed this in an interview with BBC Yoruba,

stating that the rights campaigner contracted the sickness while incarcerated in the Benin Republic.

The agitator, he claims, has also become dangerously ill and has been transported to the hospital for treatment.The pro-Yoruba self-determination activist’s home in Soka, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, was raided by DSS around 1:30 a.m. on July 1, 2021, resulting in the arrest of 12 of his aides,

while Igboho escaped arrest.Igboho was caught with his wife in Cotonou, Benin Republic, on July 16, 2021, while traveling to Germany, and has been detained since since.”Igboho was not diagnosed with this ailment when he was arrested in Cotonou,”

the lawyer said, raising the concern that Igboho required immediate medical attention. They had to rush him to the hospital because the situation was so urgent.
